Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Model College Ambikapur established in the year 2013 is the only Science College of Sarguja Division operating in the Scheduled Tribes area of Surguja District. Due to the absence of the college's own building at the time of establishment, it was initially being operated in the building of RGPG College Ambikapur. The college is affiliated to Sant Gahira Guru University Sarguja, Ambikapur Chhattisgarh. The College shifted to its own present campus in the year 2017.
